Creating Faith-Inspired Artistry
Meet Alison Burrow, the heart and hands behind A New Creation Studio. With nearly four decades of crafting and designing experience, Alison has dedicated the last four years to focusing her passion into the art of designing cross stitch patterns. Rooted in her native Ontario, Canada, her works beautifully blend faith and artistry, creating stunning designs inspired by faith and nature.
Every pattern in this shop was drawn, designed, stitched, and finished by Alison herself — a deliberate choice to do things the slow way. Each design begins with a feeling. Inspiration comes from all areas of her life: a walk, a hymn, a particular scripture that rings true, a slant of autumn colour, a lovely interaction with a fellow stitcher. These things find their way, through sketching and revising, stitching and finishing, into a design you can be proud to stitch and hold in your own hands.
Each one has been chosen with intention, created with passion, and executed with integrity. In a world where digital content can be generated in seconds, Alison believes there is something irreplaceable about a design that takes real time, thought, love, and effort to create. She believes the time a designer puts into a pattern finds its way, somehow, into the finished piece — and that the people who stitch her work deserve to know a human heart and loving hands were in it from the start. If that kind of creativity resonates with you, you are in the right place.
Alison's designs have been recognized by Just Cross Stitch Magazine — the world's premier cross stitch publication — where her work has been featured multiple times. It's a reflection of the care and artistry she brings to every pattern she creates.
Blessed with a loving marriage of 38 years, two children, and two grandchildren, Alison’s deeply entrenched family values echo in her creations, lending a unique, heartfelt touch to her designs. She firmly believes in the restorative power of cross-stitching - its capability to decelerate our fast-paced lives and foster deeper connections.
Her vision is to provide her customers with more than just a pattern - it’s an invitation to tranquillity, a testament to faith, and a heartwarming, handmade memory in the making.
